A Little of This and A Little of That

Once in a while I go with her prompting to potty train - although I don't feel I have the time/energy to do it. She insists some days to go on the potty. These training pants and hilarious. Josh and I just got such a kick out of her wearing these!

Its finally been warm enough up here to get out the pool. Abby didn't know what to make of it at first since she doesn't remember being put in the pool last summer when she was just 6 months old. But she enjoys it now. Just trying to keep her from drinking the whole thing!

Will is a water boy. He just loves swimming around.

Next subject ..... the garden. Yes this is our garden this year. Its actually growing everything Josh planted even though you can hardly see the dirt because of all of the weeds. Josh wanted to plant me more veggies this year because he knows I love home grown things, but I knew I wouldn't be able to get around to weeding for a while since I just had a baby.... I think that's a good excuse. Well, now that I feel up to weeding some, I just don't know where to start. And the few days that I've tried, it doesn't even look like I put a dent in it. Oh well, I'll do a little here and there, and hope the veggies keep growing around the weeds!

The deer are eating some of the tops off of our corn :(

And next subject... my little baby! They say the more kids you have the less pictures you take. I don't think thats the case with me. Josh thinks I take WAY TOO MANY pictures. I don't mind him making fun of me for it... because I love all of the memories.

Belly time, getting a stronger neck and looking around....

But, it didn't last long.... he got tired quick and laid his head down.

Sweet Smiles

And I'll end with more smiles
(right after I took this picture he laughed for me.... promise, he really did! It was So fun to hear)

DEUCE

Deuce - is a little nickname for Nate we came up
with today. He is really starting to look like Will #2!
These pictures are all Will first and Nate second.

Carnivals

Gotta love carnivals right? Greasy food, rickety rides, outrageous prices, sticky cotton candy, and weird looking stuffed animals you can win. Anyways, we usually have a carnival every year that is set up almost in our backyard its so close. However, we won't be around this year when it is in town and Will has been talking about carnivals so much lately. So we took him last weekend to the one in a town nearby. He was SO excited to go and said he had a BLAST - even though he only went on a few rides. The tickets were SO much more expensive than I remember and then to ride one ride its at least 3 tickets (which is $3) - FOR ONE RIDE!!! HOLY COW! Anyways, we let him and Abby bounce on a few blow ups and ride a couple rides....woohoo! Oh and I gave in and bought them the cotton candy - and they didn't like it....weird!

Abby was the smallest one in the bounce house, but she didn't mind

Will sliding down the bouncy slide.

But we all had fun getting out.... even JOSH! Here they are on the bumper cars... he is
lovin' it!

Nate these days

Updates on Nate...

He LOVES sleeping on his belly now and I just think
its the sweetest thing in the world!

I can't believe Nate is already 6 1/2 weeks old!!! Time flies. I really don't want him to grow so fast since he is my last baby :(. He is growing though.... he is now 12 pounds! At this age Will was 12 pounds 12 ounces, so he is a tiny bit smaller than Will - but not much. He has a double chin and wonderful thigh rolls to squeeze. He is now on medicine for reflux and a much much happier baby. He has started smiling for us which totally can make anyones days - his whole face lights up!

He is now allowed to go 5 hours at night (specialist gave us the go ahead) - and that has made a huge difference for me. I feel so much better being able to sleep another hour. He has gone 5 hours for the past three nights - so I'm only getting up once in the night now to feed him. He is good for me too - eats for about 8 mins and goes right back to sleep! He is sleeping in his crib now which was SO hard for me. I didn't think I would be that sad to have better sleep with him not making his loud grunting noises in my ear because I kept the bassinet so close to me! But I was! I was so sad to put him in his crib - but he LOVES it and is sleeping so much better.

I took him in last week for more blood work and I will hopefully get the results by the end of next week. They are checking his L-carnatine levels to see if his body is producing more and the levels are rising on their own, or to see if they are still low which will mean he will go on a supplement. I will update once I get results on that.

More Family

I have been so spoiled lately with my family coming into town. My mom was here a week, then Christy here several days, and now Jen came up for almost a week. It was SO nice to have them here! The day before they got to us, it was Lauren's 3rd birthday. So we made her some cupcakes and they chowed down right when they arrived at our house :)!

Abby is such a messy eater. She is loving this cupcake and doesn't mind that icing is dripping off of her nose! yuck.

Lauren loved little (or should i say big) Nate. She kept saying how soft he was :)!

Aunt Jen with all the kiddos.... thats how it was most of the time
when she was here - she kept them all occupied for me !

The sweet children after church on Sunday!

We went to the park near the lake near our house. The kids had a blast, and we were the only ones there! Abby climbed those ropes all on her own - not surprising though huh!?

The cousins had so much fun together.

HAHA - this first picture is Will practicing... we asked him to take a picture of us, since usually its just us getting the pictures of the kids, and that is what he got.

This one was again supposed to be just Jen and I.... and the girls tried to get in on the picture, and Will got mostly just them....

So, we decided to take one of ourselves.... its close up, but that will have to do!

Aunt Jen and Nate! She spoiled him so much, but I didn't mind at all....

Abby being her goofy self!

Lauren shared her chocolate ice cream with Abby... I think they both enjoyed it.

YUMMY!

Thanks Jen and Lauren for coming to visit. We had such a great time and look forward to seeing you again in NY soon! Jen you really were such a blessing to us in SO many ways. Shaun, thanks for letting Jen come up and help - I really enjoyed her! Love you all!!!

New Arrival

Congrats Jason and Kate!

This is Lauren Margaret Gehman. She was born to my brother-in-law, Jason and his wife Kate on June 4th. She was 7 pounds 2 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. She is so beautiful and tiny!
Her and Nate are only a month apart, how fun!

Here is Will, Abby and Nate with Josh... all sitting in the back seat of our van watching a movie while I went in the hospital to meet little Lauren. Great bonding!

Big Boy

Wow - I can't believe this big boy of mine was born as a little 7 pounder.....you can tell he doesn't miss a meal !!! ;)

My long long fingers and huge hands!

Fast asleep!

He looks to be enjoying his paci.....
Don't you just love my little butterball?!

Eating Out

We ate lunch outside today, per Will's request - and because it was the most warm and sunny day that we have had in a WHILE! It was nice too because Abby eating spaghetti with sauce is always a treat.

Will enjoyed himself.... can you tell?

This face has rascal (and sauce) written all over it!
