Baby Update

Here is the sweet profile of baby. He/She was so amazing to watch during this ultrasound. I've never seen a baby so active. Little one was looking all around and we were able to watch the eye lens move - incredible. Also, I saw him/her sucking his/her hands and constantly moving his/her mouth open and shut as if baby were talking. It was such a neat thing to see. I was mainly there to have my fluid levels checked and everything was perfect, thank the Lord! Baby is measuring 2 pounds 6 ounces which is also right on target. And no, I didn't see anything on accident :)! We still do not know what we are having, but its only 10 more weeks till we find out. My tentative c-section date is May 8th.

My Helper

Will helped me make some cookie shapes for his Nana's birthday. We left a few ingredients out, but the cookies were still edible, haha! Oh well. He had so much fun rolling out the dough and making the shapes on his own. Of course, he loved icing them as well. He loves to help cook and bake any time he can.

The iced cookie shapes. Definitely interesting.

He kept telling me how much he loved the cookies, even though I thought they tasted a little strange. He is easy to please :)!!!

Still Winter Up Here

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It snowed just a small amount last week and so we took the kids out and Josh attached a rope to Maggie and had her pull Abby on the sled. It didn't last too long, but it was cute and Abby really enjoyed it!

I'm not a HUGE Fan of Coconut....

But, I like it in some desserts.... ESPECIALLY this one!!!

Mounds Bars

I got this recipe from one of the food blogs I have listed... its called http://priscillabakes.blogspot.com/. I looked up coconut on the side because Josh loves coconut so I thought I would make him something with it for Valentine's day. Well not only did he love them, but so did I. I think I ate more of it than he did.
This recipe is SO easy and SO good!!!

"Mounds Bars"

2 cups graham crackers, crushed
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
14 oz. condensed milk, sweetened
1 cup shredded coconut
1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 tbsp. peanut butter
DIRECTIONS:
Mix together first three ingredients. Pack in a greased 9x13 in. pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Combine milk and coconut and spread over graham cracker mixture. Bake for 15 minutes more or until golden brown. Melt chips and peanut butter and spread over cooled coconut and graham cracker mixture. Refrigerate. Serve.
***It is amazing how easy it is to melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in the microwave....I used to do it on the stove and had terrible results***

28 Weeks (7 months)

Here is the 7 month belly shot! This baby seems big to me, being as this is how big my belly was a couple days before I delivered Abby. I think I have more fluid with this pregnancy so I'm contributing my bigger belly to that. I will have an ultrasound next thursday to check fluid levels - since that is usually around the time with the other two pregnancies that my fluid levels started dropping. This baby continues to be the most active, which I'm actually enjoying so much! Will keep you updated on how the ultrasound goes.

11 more weeks left ! :) Since I'll be scheduled for my c-section a week early.

Valentine's Day 2009

This Valentine's was a fun one for us because Will actually seemed to understand what it was about. The day before Valentine's, Josh and I went out to dinner and to get coffee while the kids stayed with my sister-on-law. We had a nice evening together alone. It was very relaxing and we were extremely STUFFED!

Will with his valentine's gift bag on his head from nana.

Abby is so excited looking in her bag!

Will also loved making bread shapes for our dinner the night before.

Lots of LOVE!

Lots of Smiles and Laughs!

Happy Valentines day!

Hope you enjoyed all of the loves in your life!

* The next day we made two different desserts and the kids ate lots of candy. Will loves to help cook anything - so he had a blast making a mess making cookies. Lots of flour ended up on my belly :)! Then we had a candlelit dinner with the kids and they seemed a little confused but liked it. It was different and fun! We went around the table and told each other what we loved about them! (well abby didn't quit get out what she wanted to :) )

yes i know he is touching the candle with his fork... haha, he didn't get hurt and he definitely didn't do it again! But he Loved blowing them all out at the end of dinner.

I'm so thankful the Lord blessed me with my family!

Growing Up

I heard somewhere to put your children in something of yours each year to see how they grow "into" your stuff. Well I just decided to give it a try - a little late is better than never I guess.

So here is Will with Josh's high school baseball jersey on. I didn't mean to make it look like he was taking a leak here, I just wanted to show the back of the jersey.

3 years old
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now with Abby I wasn't totally sure what to do... and I may still change it. I don't think a veil is going to show how she grows.... but another idea I saw was a wedding dress and I don't have mine at the moment.... and it was strapless so I dont think it would stay up on her... haha. So I will see if I'll stick with this theme with her. Either way, they were too cute!

(runaway bride)

I have hers in black and white because she has two bruises on her forehead that didn't look so great in the pictures.

The LOOK

(poor girl - her two bottom teeth can fit in the huge gap between her two top teeth)
Gotta love it!

Will has these new looks... like he is saying "I'm not interested in what you have to say" or "I'm just too cool for this right now."

OH THE LOOK JUST SAYS IT ALL!!!

All Over The Place

Ok, so I have been bad about blogging lately. I think its partly because there isn't much going on around here besides being sick due to winter and being inside because we have not had a day without snow on the ground for over a month now! Abby doesn't really enjoy the snow and Will is tolerating it more and more so we aren't out for that long. So here are a few pictures and stories of the last couple weeks that are random and out of order - but its an update of some sort.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FATHER/SON BONDING

Will LOVES to paint! All of the doors and trim in our house still needs to be painted because we opted out of the home builders doing it to save money. We have lived in this house now for a year and a half and still haven't had the desire to do much of it. Every once in a while at night Josh and Will paint a part of trim. This night they decided to do the pantry doors in the kitchen. It makes so a big difference. It was hard to keep Abby away though.

Will got some CARS movie tattoos from Christy for Christmas and wanted to put them on. So of course daddy had to get one too! Here is a blurry picture of Josh's race track tattoo. I didn't get a picture of Will's tattoos though. He had one on each arm that didn't wash off for a week or so. He loved them!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STILL MY LITTLE BABY

For Will's 3rd birthday we moved our double sized guest bed into Will's room to replace his twin "daddy-made" little kid bed. He was so excited. We knew we had to make this move before the baby comes so we decided to tell him it was for his birthday and because he was a big boy, so that it would be an exciting thing for him. I was worried because he is the craziest sleep and has fallen out of his little bed many times, but he has done great so far and he loves it!
Now we have his old bed that Josh made for him in the guest room, which is going to be Abby's room. Last week I started putting Abby in this bed for naps to get her ready to sleeping in a big bed. She is still a tiny little thing and looks so cute in this bed. She has done great! She hasn't fallen out and hasn't tried to climb out. She just takes a long time to fall asleep because she is playing in here. I hope she continues to do well in this bed and will move everything over shortly.

Abby is saying more words and starting to add a few ounces to her lightweight frame. She is a picky eater and loves to play chase! She is getting several teeth in right now and is not the happiest camper. She insists on using the spoon to feed herself everything now and is actually doing well with it. I also now have another child with a blanket obsession, not just love, its an obsession ! :)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SUNSET

As I was making dinner last night, I looked out my kitchen window and saw this sunset. I had to capture God's handiwork. It started out clear like this picture below.

Then it turned yellow.

Then pink.

Then red. How beautiful. And the pictures actually don't do it justice.

Will man - he is looking so mature! I can't believe how big he is getting. Right now he really loves to dance, read, and of course play with his monster trucks!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SUPERBOWL

Here are a couple pictures of the couples we had over for superbowl with their 3-D glasses on. We had a fun night of fellowship and TONS of food. I actually watched some of the game too! There were 5 kids there plus my two and it was never quiet in the house.
