Baby Love

Jen's kids love babies and they had so much fun lovin' on Abby.

Lauren lit up everytime she saw Abby - even if she was just crying she would smile and say ABBY everytime. She was so cute with her - always handing her toys and talking to her. She was a good little mama.

Josh also played with Abby so much. He loved that he could hold her easily because she is such a lightweight. The day we were leaving he played with her on his own for about 45 mins. It was so cute to watch him interact with her and "take care" of her.

Yorktown Beach

One afternoon we went to Yorktown beach with the young kids. It was absolutely beautiful. The breeze was refreshing and the sand was so soft.

Mimi was a little cold though... but that shouldn't be a surprise since she is cold most of the time.

This man was in this small canoe right off the water catching all these fish. Will enjoyed "petting" the slimy fish.

He caught a bunch of these "croakers" - dont know if i spelled that right. Thats what the man said they were called. When we got down close to them we could hear them all croaking as they opened their mouths.

Lauren didn't last that long playing. She was more interested in snacking on mommie's lap.

She loved playing in the sand... putting it in her hands and squeezing it. I think I have a beach baby.

Surprisingly she did not eat it at all. She looks like she is going to, but she just wanted to be in it and play.

I went to play with Will was Lauren was ready for a snack. Of course, that didn't last long either because Mimi is always a better playmate when she is around.

It was a perfect getaway for the afternoon. We enjoyed ourselves playing there. Its a neat beach with a lot of war history around it. This is always where Shaun baptizes people from his church- an awesome place to be baptized!

Fun with the fam

Our cousin Matt came to visit for a day with his girlfriend Christie. The kids all enjoyed playing with Matt!

Shaun hanging out with Abby. One of the few times she was happy when he held her. Sorry Shaun, its not you... its just guys in general :). Hopefully she will stay that way for a while!

The boys and dads played bball for a while. It was a fun day relaxing and hanging out together.

The things we did

We went to the park where there were tons of tires to climb and great swings. The kids got tired out there.

Will loved following the older boys around. He thought he could do anything they did. They were so good with him.

Will loved playing with the moon sand.

This is where the majority of the time was spent. Will and Lauren would jump together for an hour at a time sometimes. We would sing every song we knew over and over. The ones they liked the most were ring around the rosie, 5 little monkies, and if you're happy and you know it.

They mastered the art of foward rolls and even started doing them over this giant red ball.

Will still asks for Lauren's trampoline!

Love Hate Relationship

Will and Lauren. Only 5 months apart and they act like brother and sister. In these pictures they look like they are best friends... its too cute! They LOVE playing with each other, but get on each others nerves at the same time. Will likes to push Lauren's buttons and Lauren likes to pierce his ears with her girly screams. When they are not together they ask for each other all the time - but when they are together it gets a little hairy at times. But its normal for two 2 year olds! They had a great time together last week! Will misses you Lauren.

They always acted so silly at the picnic tables. Will would make up words and Lauren would laugh.

Road Trip to VA

We left Friday the 16th of May to head down to VA to visit Jen and Shaun and the kids. What was supposed to be an 8 hour drive turned out to be 11 1/2 hours! It was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was stressed during the traffic spots around DC (we were sitting in bumber to bumper with both kids screaming) - but other than that, the kids did great. Abby only cried for about an hour and a half total and Will only about 10 minutes. I was thanking God for getting me through that though.

And we can't leave out Abby. We always know she is around.... grabbing everything in site and screaming (happy screams) to let you know she's there.

You're a Mom!

The joy of being a MOM!!!! Happy Mother's Day to all of you mommies :). Since I was a little girl.... I always wanted to be a mom when I grew up. And now my dream has come true thanks to these two little cuties. Thank you Lord for this precious gift that I wouldn't trade for the world. Thank you Josh for helping me raise these kids.
This mother's day was so fun. I was served breakfast in bed :) and then we went to church and had a relaxing day at home spending time with each other. I was so blessed.
